The search engine will find just about anything listed but once there what the buyer sees is the first impression of your offer and who they will be dealing with. The following will help you prepare your marketing and eventual sale.

The first step is to take a look at some existing Ads to guide you with your own dialogue.  The ones you  are impressed with often also impress others. Brevity is essential if you are to avoid people losing interest, get to the point with details relevant to the item on sale.

Example:

Good photographs are worth the extra effort and give your prospect a preview of the object on sale. They are more likely to pursue the enquiry if the colour is right for them and the object looks clean and well presented.

When the time comes to meet a potential buyer a professional approach always creates a good impression.  People always have in mind how much they are prepared to pay before they get to you. What they don't know is what condition your object is in so they assume the worst.

Your first opportunity  will probably be your last so don't blow it.  The first action is your welcome - don't behave as if your object is the only one on this earth. A little ice breaking goes a long way to make your prospect feel at ease.  Generally ask some questions to find out out what your prospect is looking for.  If you find that what you have is not suitable for them don't waste their time and yours.  If you feel that it is exactly what they want you need to identify these features to them otherwise they could get missed and you could lose out on the sale.  Follow up on your feature with a benefit statement.

E.G. This car is fitted with four wheel drive - which means........

Your objective is to lift the desire of the object above the dreaded price.  That way you are are more likely to achieve an acceptable agreement between you.

You can apply this advise to selling anything but understand that no matter how good  you or your object is you may have to be patient.  Sometimes it takes a little longer to find a buyer.
